We help students develop the confidence, curiosity, and habits that lead to lifelong learning.
Hi Parents!
DiG Educational Consulting helps students and families through individualized learning profiles, tutoring, educational advocacy, and parent support.
Our work begins with understanding the learner. By identifying each student's strengths, challenges, motivations, and goals, we create personalized pathways for growth that support both academic success and lifelong learning.
Many of the students who come to DiG aren't struggling because they aren't smart. They're overwhelmed, discouraged, disconnected from learning, or haven't yet found an approach that works for them.
Others are doing well academically but crave greater challenge, deeper learning, and opportunities to pursue their interests.
We meet students where they are and help them grow into confident, capable learners.
We use personalized, research-informed assessment tools developed in-house to understand your student as a learner. The result is an Individualized Learning Profile (ILP), which guides all future work with your student.
Consultation: Shortly after you reach out, we’ll be in touch to set up a free consultation. During this call we’ll ask questions to get a better sense of your goals and needs.
Relationship First: We’ll get to know your kiddo through a series of thoughtful conversations, a game or two, and some gentle content exploration.
The Individualized Learning Profile (ILP): We gather information from you, your student, and their teacher to create the ILP, a research-informed document that guides all future work with your student. It identifies strengths, areas for growth, learning habits, interests, and goals, then turns those insights into a clear plan for the months ahead.
Consistency & Commitment: Students build trust, confidence, and new learning habits through consistency and practice. Because our work focuses on long-term development, we ask families to commit to at least six months of partnership.
Tracked Growth: We track progress in a shared document throughout sessions. When students are showing competence and autonomy in areas of focus, the tutor will conduct a simple content assessment to outline new content goals.

What Parents Are Saying
As a parent, it's been heartwarming to see the transformation in my 7-year-old son since he started tutoring with Jo. He previously struggled with reading and writing and was reluctant to engage with schoolwork. Thanks to Jo's patient and engaging approach, my son has improved greatly. He genuinely looks forward to each tutoring session, and it's been a joy to witness his growth. I highly recommend DiG Educational Consulting to any parent looking for support and encouragement for their child.
— DiG ParentJo has been tutoring our daughter over the last year to help her improve her reading and writing skills. She is incredibly patient and understanding with our daughter, who does not always enjoy doing school work. Jo is able to keep her engaged and re- direct her back to learning even when she is distracted and not wanting to participate. She has a keen understanding of working with kids with ADHD and works hard to make her students feel successful. We highly recommend her services!
